What we offer

The Variants educational programme aims at providing teachers (both current and future) with an informational and methodological service in the field of Intercultural (ICE) and Global Development Education (GDE). For this purpose the employees of the Variants programme organize various seminars, courses, workshops and project days at schools and prepare a range of teaching materials for teachers and students of pedagogical subjects to use in their practice.

The specific educational activities and materials we offer are listed below. For further details please refer to the Czech version of the website www.varianty.cz.

Courses – the Courses section contains the current range of short and long- term courses, seminars, workshops and project days offered by the Variants programme primarily to teachers, students of pedagogical subjects or school teams but also to officers, NGO employees or members of the general public.

Publications – the Publications section contains materials published by the Variants educational programme (or our partners) over the past ten years on the topic of Multicultural and Global Development Education. These publications are available for download from the website.

Analyses and Research – in the years from 2001 to 2009 the Variants programme organized several research projects and analyses related to the field of Multicultural Education (MCE) and Global Development Education (GDE). Information on all these projects is available for download from the website.

Bulletins – twice a year the Variants programme issues an information bulletin with educational news of the PIN organization. It contains information on the new projects of the Variants programme as well as the One World at Schools programme which aims to appeal to students and their teachers through documentary films.

Methodological Sheets – the Methodological Sheets section offers teachers and others a number of practical instructions devoted to the topics of Multicultural and Global Development Education for use at schools or elsewhere.

Terms – in the Terms section of the website the Variants programme offers a collection of brief definitions of the basic terms used in Multicultural and Global Development Education.
