We offer long and short-term courses, seminar and workshops, which are meant primarily for teachers of all school levels, teacher’s assistants, students of education and other fields of study, and civil servants.
Our work focuses on the following topics: intercultural education (e.g. conscious work with prejudices, educational methodology based on work with Persona Dolls), inclusive education (e.g. heterogeneity of a group and classroom climate, communication between school and parents, social disadvantages), education for global development (e.g. human rights, food security, climate change), modernteaching methods, communication between schools and students’ families.
We offer professional consultations for teachers and schools in the following areas:
We create methodological materials in the fields of intercultural education, inclusive education and education for global development for kindergartens, primary and secondary school as well as for universities.
We can provide practical activities to be used by teachers in classwork dealing with, for example, human rights, stereotypes and prejudices, global problems and other topics that we deal with.
We develop specialised analyses and research on the topics of intercultural education, inclusive education and education for global development.
The Varianty Educational Programme holds an annual comics competition for students of primary and secondary schools called Bohouš and Dáša change the world. Join in! Students are able to express their opinions about current problems around the world through the comic strips they create.
Varianty also tries to work with the public and for that purpose organizes debates about current topics in education and migration.
